Background

Kowloon Dairy, a renowned dairy brand in Hong Kong, sought to enhance their eCommerce platform with a focus on implementing a new milk subscription service. Their goal was to improve the user experience for customers and streamline internal processes, ensuring that the subscription model was seamlessly integrated with their delivery logistics and backend systems, powered by Adobe Commerce.

Challenge

Kowloon Dairy faced several challenges in revamping their online subscription service and delivery logistics. The existing user experience for subscription management was cumbersome, particularly in the address selection process. Additionally, they needed a solution that would simplify subscription order management while aligning with their established delivery routes. Improving the mobile user experience through their iOS app was also a key challenge to ensure better customer engagement.

Solution

To address Kowloon Dairy’s need for an enhanced subscription service and improved user experience, we implemented a series of tailored solutions that optimized both their online platform and internal processes:

Enhanced Subscription Management

By integrating a change order trigger in Magento, we streamlined the management of subscription orders. Customers could now choose their first delivery date, set delivery frequency, and select subscription periods based on dynamic weekday availability tied to their district’s delivery routes.

Subscription and Delivery Optimization

We reviewed and revamped Kowloon Dairy’s subscription process, focusing on improving the user experience. A new address selection method, integrated with the Hong Kong Land Department's up-to-date data, allowed for easy addition of new residences, ensuring no delivery addresses were overlooked.

iOS App Redevelopment

The iOS app was completely redeveloped using Progressive Web Application (PWA) technology, ensuring a consistent, high-performance user experience across desktop and mobile platforms. This PWA increased engagement with in-app purchasing capabilities, faster response times, and an improved conversion rate compared to traditional mobile sites.
